Michael’s DataFlex Reports expertise matches the volume of special Feature Requests he made for the product. Kidding aside, the product improved thanks to developers as Michael. Michael has prepared a presentation demonstrating the versatility of DataFlex reports, especially the flexibility that the seamless integration with DataFlex applications, the tool offers.
We’re excited to announce that the DataFlex Dashboard project nears completion! This new feature is like a mini framework in itself. It could not be completed until several new features, techniques, and classes were added to the standard DataFlex framework. And, it’s almost ready now! The main goal of the DataFlex Dashboard is to help developers create dynamic, gorgeous dashboards in no time at all, using standard DataFlex code. No expertise in JavaScript, HTML, or CSS required!
In the near future, DataFlex Studio will be your “window” on everything related to your DataFlex code, be it in the Studio, or from fellow developers around the world. And the new Package Manager will help you with that. Within DataFlex Studio, conveniently point at which library you want to add, and Package Manager will make sure to add the correct version to your Workspace.

New to the Data Access Worldwide team, Robin’s DataFlex journey just started. His interest in DataFlex is very broad, spanning from software consultancy to research & development. His most recent work was in R&D, completing a base layer to support OpenID Connect in DataFlex and he will present how easy it is to import iCal to your agenda. iCal for DataFlex was made by Siam Smeets, a colleague of Robin. This summer Robin also completed a very powerful new web control baptized Hybrid List. The Hybrid List improves the user experience in large ‘data dense’ web applications. Get to know Robin, with a just-get-things-done attitude, bringing concepts to code.
John will demonstrate how a mixin-based framework makes it simple to change DataFlex applications, both visually and in terms of their behaviour, even at run-time! The fact that all types of applications in DataFlex are developed with the same DataFlex code makes this possible, regardless of whether Windows, FlexTron or Web.
The dream of running DataFlex code in your browser was what ignited the Technology Stack project. It became a project of rewriting the foundations back into a truly multi-platform environment.
